Oh, I'll have to edit that! Yes, the recipe called for adding the last 1/3 cup milk with the eggs. I was really quite pleased with the result of this cake. It's almost as light as a boxed cake mix but much more moist. If you try this recipe, let me know how it turns out for you!

We have been making the roll kuke a fair bit this year as the family members, including grandkids are asking for them and also learning how to make them. I am having more fun teaching the grand kids how to make wareniki and roll kuke. We fry the roll kuke outside as I hate smelling up my house, (plus clothes and hair) with cooking oil. So it has become another patio out door activity.
The recipe I have been using is one I got from the mennonite ladies at a quilt auction in the Kitchener area. Simple recipe, no cream, just half a cup of butter put into flour mixture, (5 cups flour) like pie crust, then eggs and milk added. Dough is not sticky and can be refrigeratede and frozen which I did this week end to go up North. I usually use maragaine but this time used a bit of butter and mostly coconut butter. Next time I will use all coconut butter for a bit less colesterol. They were very nice. Next time I might add a bit of baking soda like your recipe for more bubbles which everyone likes.
